A common platform
To have a Kali Bari that serves as a common platform for worship and charitable activities in our vicinity, on a regular basis.
Home / About Us
A community of enthusiastic individuals who dream, believe to accomplish, and actively participate towards the making of Matri-Peeth, Greater Noida West Kali Bari.
তোমার কর্ম তুমি করো মা, লোকে বলে করি আমি।
সকলি তোমারি ইচ্ছা, ইচ্ছাময়ী তারা তুমি।
The dream of having a Goddess Maa Kali temple in Greater Noida West has been in my mind ever since I shifted here in 2015. Matri-Peeth Kali Bari came into existence in 2019 with a few like-minded Bengali friends from different residential societies of this area, who shared the same dream.
The Bengali community is not complete without a Kali Bari of its own — Maa Kali's temple is synonymous with Bengali existence. Matri-Peeth will be a centre for Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Lokkhi Pujo, Poila Boishakh, Rabindranath's birthday, Netaji Subhash's birthday, Swami Vivekananda's birthday and many other festivals.
The Probasi Bengalis always try hard to live their culture and nurture it. It will be our endeavour to preserve it and teach the next generation, so they can carry it over to further generations and keep our cultural heritage alive.
A rich collection of Bengali literature in a library, rooms and hostel facilities for Bengali tourists and students, and a medical dispensary in the campus are among the facilities lined up in our agenda along with the temple.

An aspiration of what our organisation would like to achieve, and a clear guide for choosing current and future courses of action.
To have a Kali Bari that serves as a common platform for worship and charitable activities in our vicinity, on a regular basis.
To articulate and constantly pursue our legendary culture and heritage, so future generations can witness it.
To live with happiness, fraternity and fellow feeling in an extended family atmosphere, far away from our roots and native places.
Matri-Peeth is a CSR registered entity, working across six philanthropic programmes.
Let us learn Bangla — for the upliftment of the Bangla language in this north Indian region.
As we are all Probasi Bengali here, living far away from our roots in Bengal, we run a free Bangla teaching programme under the guidance of our senior member Sri Pinaki Munshi.
Classes are held virtually on Zoom, taught from Borno Porichoy. Bengalis and non-Bengalis alike are learning the language through this programme.
Matri-Peeth does not charge any fee or expense for this service. It exists purely for the development of the Bangla language in our region.

What we dream and plan to collectively achieve.
One square inch. One timeless blessing.
